Mom Life, TikTok & Infertility Awareness Week

From desert hikes to hormone talk—this week’s updates span Spring Break stories, healthcare frustration, and a big step for our community.

Spring Break & a Moment to Breathe

This week’s update is a mix of real life and real talk.

I’m on my way back from Spring Break with my son—filled with long drives, desert hikes, and moments of awe (and exhaustion). You’ll find a few photos below, because sometimes mom life is the best reminder of why this work matters.

🧡 It’s National Infertility Awareness Week, and we’re spotlighting what women are actually facing—beyond the headlines and hashtags.
📣 Our Slack community is growing, with a new channel dedicated to sharing real healthcare experiences.
🎥 And I’ve started posting more on TikTok—covering topics like progesterone, pelvic pain, and why so many women feel dismissed.

We’re just getting started—but these stories are already building something powerful.

Sometimes the clearest perspective comes after getting a little lost in the desert. From Albuquerque to Santa Fe to Taos to Alamogordo to Carlsbad, we have successfully completed another tour of national parks. Have one we should add to the list!? Reply to this email.

Ooops. Over ordered on breakfast in Santa Fe.

Meow Wolf Santa Fe. Highly recommend finding one near you!

The Rio Grande!

He navigated the sand quite well with the broken arm!

Enjoying sunset at White Sands National Park

This cronut in Albuquerque beats the one in NYC. 😉

 📣 Let’s Talk About Infertility

Advocacy Day in Albany, NY

Advocacy Day in DC 2014

April 20-26 is National Infertility Awareness Week. Whether you are struggling or know of someone who is, I highly recommend connecting with and supporting Resolve: The National Infertility Association. I discovered them about 3 years into my own fertility journey, joining Advocacy Day in DC and Albany, NY! I ran the NYC Marathon last year, raising over $3000 for them.

I recently wrote about the Trump administration’s Executive Order and since, Resolve head, Barb Collura, has been interviewed by top media outlets - they are not giving up.

Barb also appeared on Fempower Health speaking about insurance coverage/fertility benefits. It’s incredible to see how far they have come: 60 million+ have better infertility coverage since 2016. And since Roe v. Wade's overturn, RESOLVE defeated 50 anti-IVF bills. More work remains.

I’m receiving positive feedback on recent educational TikTok videos I’ve created. I’d love your suggestions on video ideas! Reply to this email.

Related: The #healthcare-experiences channel on Slack is live—and we’re just getting started. This is the space to share what navigating the healthcare system has looked like for you (or someone you know). No pressure, no performance. Just real talk. If you haven’t heard about the Slack channel, learn more.
