Women’s Health Is Broken
Let’s Be Part of the Solution
🥂 Happy New Year everyone!
First, I’ll share my 9-year-old son’s wise words reflecting on 2024 and his hopes for 2025:
"Something I liked about 2024 is 2024.
Something I’m excited for in 2025 is 2025.
One of my New Year’s resolutions is to make sure I like 2025."
Yes, it is quite clever 😉 and his simplicity is a great reminder of what matters most—and why Fempower Health started in the first place: to put women in the driver’s seat of their health.
In the midst of our complicated healthcare system, we do have power.
Power to learn.
Power to advocate for ourselves and for the women around us.
The Next Chapter for Fempower Health
As you know from my last newsletter, I’ve paused the Fempower Health podcast for now. With so many clinicians and advocates educating on social media and multiple podcasts covering key topics, the gap Fempower Health filled is no longer a gap.
What inspires me most is solving problems—and to do that, Fempower Health needs to evolve to address the gaps we face today.
What I’ve Learned Over 5 Years
After five years of interviewing top experts and hearing stories from women navigating the healthcare system, three big truths stand out:
🔅 The healthcare system doesn’t meet women’s needs. From diagnosis delays to fragmented care, we’re stuck navigating a maze that wasn’t built for us.
🔅 Professionals and companies are overwhelmed too. Clinicians, femtech innovators, and patient advocates are all doing incredible work, but the system doesn’t make it easy to collaborate or scale solutions.
🔅 We already know the data and it’s time to do something about it: women’s health is underfunded, under-researched, and underserved. Now is the time to move beyond these numbers and take action. We need actionable insights, not more noise. Women and professionals alike are looking for clarity, not complexity.
A Quick Favor
A podcast alone won’t solve this. You and I both know this.
This is why Fempower Health is evolving. But I can’t do this alone.
❓ What’s the ONE thing you think would most improve women’s health in 2025? Feel free to speak specifically to your experience.
👉 Hit reply and let me know—I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has reached out with thoughtful feedback and encouragement.
So are you in? Let’s do this! 💪
Warmly,
Georgie
